DeathAdder V2 ProĪs I raved about in the DeathAdder V2 review, the DeathAdder Pro also has the new optical switches. For people that do play at the top 1%, this speed could be useful, and having access to this level of precision is always welcome, but for most people sitting at the low to mid-range DPI, little will be seen as new compared to last year’s DeathAdder. Most people will never even come close to touching the top speeds this mouse can offer, or even what last year’s installment could achieve. What does this mean for the average gamer? Honestly not much. The DeathAdder was my favorite gaming mouse and the Pro feels like the refinement the mouse needed to maintain that position for a long time to come.Īs with the DeathAdder V2, Razer have also given the DeathAdder Pro the “Focus+” sensor delivering a 20,000 DPI, which is a significant jump compared to last year’s 16,000, with the PMW3389 sensor. The buttons, the feel, and the switches all feel the same. While targeted at the pro-gamer, this is always a great feature for people that like to set and forget their devices, especially when moving between desktop and laptop and that is easier than ever thanks to the wireless freedom the DeathAdder Pro delivers.Įven with all these new features at the end of the day the DeathAdder Pro is almost identical to the DeathAdder V2. The DeathAdder Pro - as with most modern high-end gaming mice - includes built in storage for up to five profiles that can be loaded with Synapse 3. The only thing I am a bit disappointed it does not include is the Razer Dock, only because while the battery will last over 120 Hours, it is nice to be able to put it down and forget it when not in use. With the DeathAdder also coming with a USB cable, an extender, and everything you would need to connect the mouse to your PC, Laptop or anything you could possibly hope to use it on.

The DeathAdder Pro works with Bluetooth along with HyperSpeed with the included dongle that conveniently hides in the mouse while on the go, but Razer did not stop there. Comparing the wireless and wired experience, I saw no discernible lag, making both experiences fluid, something I never thought possible when I bought my first DeathAdder many years ago. With no discernible lag the DeathAdder Pro felt responsive, instantaneous, and dead-on even when the battery started to dip. Razer’s HyperSpeed Wireless technology has been a godsend for people that hate wires. Now, with the DeathAdder Pro, the iconic gaming mouse finally fits with the modern wireless world.

When we looked at the DeathAdder V2 back in March, it felt like Razer had delivered an iterative update to an already amazing mouse. Now in 2020, the last arrow in the DeathAdder quiver is finally here, bringing all the features from the DeathAdder V2 to a new, wireless option and putting the last piece in the puzzle for the perfect gaming mouse. This mouse has gone under many iterations, and evolved with Razer themselves, picking up advancements through the years. The Razer DeathAdder has been around for a while now, and has become synonymous with gaming.
